America's Cup Sailboat Race

How better to finish K's amazing race than with a challenge on a racing sailboat? K had to navigate through the San Diego Bay as a crew member of the Stars and Stripes. She was on the crank to control the jib for most of the trip. Her grandsons drove the boat as she worked. It was an absolutely perfect day for a sail, and we got going over 10.5 knots, leaning over most of the way as we sat on the sides of the boat. The mast was 11 stories high to catch massive wind in its carbon fiber sails. Way to go, K!
